Fantastic and Disturbing

I recently came across two sets of photography which blew my mind.

The first set was shot with infrared film in the Congo by Richard Mosse. It looks like something from the set of the Wizard of Oz. It’s stunning.

The second set, shot by Kohei Yoshiyuki in the 1970s – also in infrared, is fascinating and disturbing. The pictures were taken at night in parks around Tokyo and reveal what I can best describe as participatory voyeurism.

Click on the pics to go to The Guardian and see all the shots.
